Ingredients :
Condense milk - 1 tin 400 Grams
Water / Milk - 1 1/2 Tin ( I added 1 tin of milk and 1/2 tin of water )
Eggs - 5
Vanilla Essence - 1 TBLSP
For Caramel -
Sugar - 3 TBLSP
Butter - 1 TBLSP
Instructions to make Caramel :
1. In a pan add 3TBLSP sugar and allow it to melt.
2. Stir it occasionally , and allow it to turn brown.
3. Once it is brown , take off the heat and add the butter and stir continuously till the butter gets incorporated in the sugar.
4. Level it and allow it to set.
Instruction to make the Pudding:
1. In a pan add condense milk , milk and water together . Beat well , till everything is mixed properly.
2. In another pan beat the eggs , till it turns fluffy and light yellow in colour.
3. Then add vanilla and beat again.
4. Strain the Egg mixture once to avoid bubbles .
5. Then add the egg mixture to the condense milk mixture and mix well.
6 Stain again and add it to the pan in which we made the caramel.
7. Cover it with a lid or foil. Steam it for 20 - 25 minutes .
8. Refrigerate it atleast for couple of hours .
9. Run the knife around the edge of the pudding .Turn the pan and unmold the pudding before serving.
10 Serve it chill.
Caramel Pudding using plain Milk-
Ingredients :
Whole milk - 750 ml
Water - 250 ml
Bread slices - 3 Slices ( without the sides )
Sugar - 1 Cup
Eggs - 5
Vanilla Essence - 1 TBLSP
For Caramel -
Sugar - 3 TBLSP
Butter - 1 TBLSP
Instructions:
It is made the same way as condensmilk pudding.
Notes-
- Once it is 25 minutes take it out from the steam and poke a skewer and check whether it is cooked . The Pudding should be firm ( for me it took around 30+ minutes)
- Do not over cook the caramel , it might taste bitter otherwise.
- If you are going to bake it ,
- Run the knife around the pudding , It will be easy unmolding the pudding from tha pan.

ReplyDeleteHi Hyacinth .. After your comment i googled to see what is Leche Flan .. Probably they are same , different countries call it in diferent names i guess .The only difference is i used milk and leche flan has evaporated milk in it .
