Breakfast Smoothie

Year 2013 was full of food , fun and enjoyment . So , i have dedicated this year for  health , more food , more fun and more enjoyment .

Some times in the busy mornings we forget to have our breakfast , which is really bad . I had skipped my breakfast so many days and end of the day i end up with a bad headache . So i started making smoothies which are super easy to make , stomach filling , nutritious and healthy . One good thing about smoothies are they are freshly made using fresh fruits,  greens , nuts , oats , yogurt , honey , etc.... You can actually keep adding what ever you want into the smoothie.

Among the smoothies i made so far i loved this  Healthy Green Smoothie , which is also can be called as a breakfast smoothie  .

This is so simple to make  . And it just needs just Pears , Green Grapes , Cilantro , Greek Yogurt and Oats. I didn't bother to add sugar because the fruits already have sugar in them . You can add honey too if you want to .

Ingredients :

Pears - 1
Green seedless Grapes - Handful
Cilantro - Handful
Greek Nonfat Yogurt - 1/4 Cup
Oats - 1 TBLS
Water - 1/4 - 1/2 cup
Honey - Optional

Would you all like to know the health benefits / Nutrition facts of the greens in the Smoothie . I am pretty sure you guys would know about yogurt and oats .( so i am skipping )

Pears -> Antioxidant , Anti- inflammatory , Good for heart disease and Type 2 Diabetes , Reduces Cancer risk
Grapes ->  Antioxidant , Anti-inflammatory , Cardiovascular benefits , Blood sugar benefits , Anti-Aging , Longevity  , Anti - microbial benefits  , Anti- cancer Benefits .
Cilantro -> Good for cleansing , good for diabetes , Antioxidant , prevents cardiovascular damages , improve sleep quality ,good for blood sugar.

So , this small glass has all these nutritional facts . sounds cool right . So why wont i drink it everyday .

Instructions :

Wash the fruits and cilantro .
Deseed the pears .Cut them into small pieces.
Now add everything except water in the blender and blend for a minute.
Lastly add the water according to the thickness you want .
